Ukrainian Pysanky

 The following letter will be sent home with your child tomorrow. 

Dear Parents:

As part of our Social Studies program, one of the countries that we are studying is the Ukraine.  One part of the program is to look at traditions and celebrations.  We will be doing traditional Ukrainian Pysanky (egg decorating) and are in need of parental assistance. The kids will be working with traditional pysanky tools and using candles to melt bee’s wax.  If you are willing to help please fill in the form below and check off the times you are available.  Due to the nature of the activity we cannot accommodate younger siblings.

Thank you for all your help and support.  Parent assistance is required for this activity, as candles will be used to melt wax and kids need help to complete the delicate egg dying process.  If you can assist on any of the days below please complete the form and return to school as soon as possible. 

If you are able to assist on more than one day that would be great.
