One District One Book!

We have LAUNCHED! Lethbridge School District 51 has taken on a new and exciting project: One District One Book. Every student from Kindergarten to Grade 12 will be spending the next two weeks reading the SAME book. What book?!?!? Well here it is!!

Each night, students will be expected to read a few chapters. The next day we will be discussing the chapters and answering trivia questions. This is a great time to shut off technology, unplug, sit down and enjoy literacy with each member of your household. We hope you enjoy the book as much as we do!

Here is our Reading Schedule

Monday: March 25 - Chapters 1-5

Tuesday: March 26 - Chapters 6-11

Wednesday: March 27 - Chapters 12-15

Thursday: March 28 - Chapters 16-20

Weekend: March 29-31- Chapters 21-24

Monday: April 1 - Chapters 25-29

Tuesday: April 2 - Chapters 30-36

Wednesday: April 3 - Chapters 37-42

Thursday: April 4 - Chapters 43-46

Being from Newfoundland, St. Patrick's Day or St. Paddy's Day as we like to call it, is one of the most celebrated days of the year. From the middle of September to the first week of December, we were lucky enough to welcome two student teachers into our classroom. Ms. Vacey and Ms.Scott were excellent additions to our classroom. We will miss them dearly.
